I went to water aerobics and aqua bump! Both are brilliant! Nina is a great encouraging instructor! Working out in the pool is great- you keep cool and don’t put to much high impact on your joints or pelvic floor! I have also had several pregnancy massages with Nina from 28 weeks. Several 45 min ones and 3 1.5 ones right at the end. From the second you book you feel safe in the knowledge that not only have you got some one who’s trained specifically in pregnancy massage but a registered and practicing midwife, so you feel happy that both you and baby will be taken care of by an expert! From the second you arrive Nina makes you feel totally at ease and the massage is totally relaxing- with Nina tailoring them to your requirements: eg my shoulder on the right would play up from time to time from carrying my toddler and Nina would do a great job releasing the muscles and easing the pain! Now my little girl has been born I look back and feel so pleased I made time for myself to chill, relax and just get a bit of me time and to think about nothing but my baby (which was challenging day to day with working and running about after a 2 year old). I visited Nina late in my pregnancy and the difference her guidance and massage gave me physically as well as mentally was more than i had hoped for. I wish i had visited earlier. I love Nina’s fitness classes. Also being a midwife myself I know how important it is to keep active in pregnancy and within your recovery period postnatally. I did aqua bump for both my pregnancies and really enjoyed the classes. It’s reassuring to know that Nina is also a midwife. I’ve since done the mama wellness foundation course and the progressive. I really enjoyed those too and always come out of the classes buzzing!! My posture is improving and so is my strength, as well as having a positive mindset! I’ve also lost weight after following Nina’s recommend diet. It’s great to see how positive and informative Nina is. If I’ve ever had a question she’s always helped me! I have nothing but praise for Nina and all she does. I first went to see Nina for back pain after having 2 children. I know most of Nina’s clients are new mums so I wasn’t sure if I would still be able to mend any problems I had with my back/body as my girls were 4 and 6 when I first saw Nina. Well it’s never too late. Having a 1-2-1 session was the best thing I ever did. The knowledge, motivation and enthusiasm Nina has for each mama is incredible. I came away from my first assessment feeling very good about myself and the future. Nina gave me exercises and stretches that I could carry out at home as well as a food plan and changes to make in my diet. Without telling myself I was on a diet, it was a change in lifestyle. My husband also came on board with the change in food and meals we eat. I am a lover of exercise so the passion for the change was a big help too. I just wanted to feel better in myself, not necessarily lose weight. I also carried out Nina’s progressive course and carried out the exercises at home through out the week. My body was at its best even before having kids. Weight loss (bonus) toned, my main goal and, best of all, no more back pain!! I’m now pregnant with my 3rd baby and having Nina along side has so far made this my best pregnancy. I put on so much weight with my older two this time round was going to be different. I have had a 1-2-1 session with Nina so I can carry on my exercises safely. Aqua bump is also a brilliant class. I’m loving my pregnancy but also can’t wait to blog my progress after the baby is born. So I can leave before and after pics/statements here to show everyone, that investing your time, money, effort into Nina’s classes or 1-2-1 sessions is more than worth it. I am a Midwife and really enjoyed the aqua natal classes that I attended with Nina. It was nice to feel weightless in the water and you also get a great workout. It’s really good value for money too. I had a pregnancy massage by Nina as I had a bad back at around 28/40 and it was so relaxing and it really helped with my pain. I truly enjoy working out in Nina’s Aqua fit class which is not a statement I would say for most workouts. In pregnancy I felt energised after her class, I really belief it contributed to training my body ready for birth. This is why I have recommended her class to the women I’ve also looked after in pregnancy. Weight management is so important to maternal health which tends to get overlooked. I’ve also had a massage from Nina, it’s fabulous and that’s why I have brought other mums to be vouchers to have the same experience. It’s 90 minutes of pure bliss! Yesterday I had the last of my six post natal sessions with Nina almost exactly three months after my first session. I’m pleased to say I’ve lost 20lbs, 12cm from my belly button and 10cm from my waist. Even more importantly I feel stronger and fitter, I’ve found a diet that is sustainable in the long term and that I enjoy and although it’s going to be a long journey I’ve got the confidence and determination that I can get back to my pre pregnancy fitness and weight. Being a fitness instructor myself I carried on exercising all the way through my pregnancy, and I found I could get a really good workout from Aqua natal without putting any extra pressure on my body. I could jump and run and get my heart rate up all in the water knowing the weight of my bump was being supported. Nina is a fab instructor, with great music and routines each week. I have been having massages for the last few months leading up to my baby’s due date, I sleep amazingly after seeing Nina, she always has time to talk through any pregnancy concerns or aches and pains I may have, her knowledge and back ground as a mid wife is invaluable and gives me the reassurance that she not only wants to make me as relaxed and ‘ache’ free as possible but also ensures my ‘bump’ is comfortable and offers advise and support. I have suffered with a bad neck and back way before pregnancy and spent a fortune on salon massages and chiropractic treatment over the years …(it’s safe to say ive experienced some really rubbish massages!)
After getting pregnant and struggling with pelvis pain as a result of my back issues I booked in with Nina. Her background gave me the reassurance that the baby and I were in safe hands rather than going to some high street salon that claim to do a ‘pregnancy massage’  It truly is the BEST massage I’ve ever had! Nina found all my knots and tight muscles on first touching me and was able to release them and straighten me out. At 38 weeks I had a 45 minute massage with Nina and it was a superb experience. Being able to lay on my front in a special bump shaped cushion, having time to discuss our birth plans and concerns and going home with lots of tips for self-care in the days leading up to our birth was amazing. The massage was second to none, and I slept better than I have the entire pregnancy. Nina is a wealth of knowledge and it was a wonderful experience, thank you! At 39 weeks pregnant I went for a full body massage with Nina and wow it was amazing. I would totally recommend it to anyone. Well worth the money. Nina was so helpful in fitting me In (as I had left it late) she made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I would of reviewed sooner but two days later my little boy made an appearance. I’ve come all the way from Bury St Edmunds to attend Nina’s aqua class and also one of her massage sessions (both in Ipswich in different days). Her work focused on pregnancy is fascinating. You can see the passion, energy and investment she puts on this beautiful project. I wish she was closer to home so I could benefit a bit more during my bump time. I had a 90 min massage with Nina at 27 wks and I cannot recommend it highly enough! The consultation form and conversation beforehand showed Nina’s wealth of experience and the surroundings were calming and peaceful. The massage itself felt amazing and gave me some valuable time to focus on me and bump. Nina tailored her services and advice to my personal pregnancy symptoms and offered sensitive and useful advice. I left relaxed and equipped with things I could do to make my pregnancy easier. I was recommended to see Nina after suffering for sometime from a very painful shoulder and neck. Nina was lovely and I felt reassured by her straight away. I had a pre-natal massage at 39 weeks pregnant and it was fabulous. The room was wonderfully relaxing, perfect temperature and I was made to feel very welcomed and relaxed. I felt really at ease and comfortable and so refreshed afterwards. I really enjoyed attending the aqua bump classes during my pregnancy, you feel like you’ve had a great work, the classes are fun and always varied. I actually kept going up until the day before I gave birth, not realising I was actually having a few early labour pains whilst I was in the pool!!! Nina is excellent at guiding you through the routines and making sure everyone is doing them safely. She was also good at giving bits of advice of how to cope with certain aches and pains that you might have during pregnancy. Highly recommend this class and I would definitely go again! Emma Bull
