What is Step?
Step is a traditional style of training, with high impact aerobic movements, choreography and exercises, based around a step. Work your whole body, elevate your heart rate and improve your co-ordination with a complete cardio workout.
You can adjust the height on the step to progress your workout if needed.
From a basic step up and down (like walking up and down stairs) to more complex moves taking you over and around the step you will build up your workout – practice makes perfect!
Don’t worry if you’ve got two left feet as you can stick with the basic moves until you feel ready to move on – you’ll still get a great cardio workout, toning your glutes, thighs and calves in the process.
This class is great for improving co-ordination, and memory, bone health, lower body workout and cardio health.
It is for women of any age and fitness ability who enjoy getting fit, meeting other like minded women, and making friends.
These workouts are suitable for those who have recovered their core and are looking for the next level in fitness, that continues to focus on the core and pelvic floor principles.
As each individual is different in terms of fitness and ability, there are various options given, to help you achieve the best workout for you.
We don’t want you to feel that you ever have to keep up or compete with the woman next to you. We want you to recognise your own potential and enjoy exercise that works for you.
What do I need to bring with me?
Water and perhaps a small towel. All equipment for the classes will be provided.
Can I bring my baby?
This is an evening class, so please leave your baby at home and come for an hour that is just for you.
What do I need to wear?
Wear either gym clothing or stretchy clothing such as leggings and a T shirt.
We will be exercising without footwear so no trainers are necessary. You can wear trainer socks.
When is the class and how can I book?
The Class is every Monday at 8.15pm starting March 4th 2019
