About Mama Wellness

Meet Nina

Hello and welcome. I am so happy you stopped by. My name is Nina Parnham and I am passionate about women’s health and sharing what I know with others.

My journey started in 2005 when, after years of enjoying exercising I trained as a fitness instructor. Fast forward over a decade, and my passion for wellness grew. I have expanded my knowledge and learning along with my experience as a Midwife and offer support to women through the life phases of conception, pregnancy, postnatal and menopause.

I have always regarded women to be incredible human beings in everything they are able to do. Women are very resilient individuals. It was after my first child when I discovered such things like diastasis, incontinence and prolapse exist. But what I could not find was good solid helpful information. That is when I deepened my specialist training in postnatal fitness, and I have succeeded with rehabilitating my own body. In doing that came the passion to help other women. I love what I do, love helping women and it gives me great satisfaction to see my clients succeed.

In my career, as a Midwife, I would often see women who were struggling with varying health issues, either because of a previous pregnancy, or birth. I wanted to provide women with real solutions for their most pressing concerns such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapses, back and/or pelvic pain and caesarean scar issues.

As a mother I can honestly say that the journey to motherhood and beyond is such a life changing event. I respect the experiences women go through and feel privileged to be able to support women during these times. I also know women can experience significant trauma from their birth and felt that this was something I wanted to help with and offer the 3-step rewind birth trauma recovery service.

I understand that women can find the journey to motherhood a difficult time, with 1 in 6 women experiencing difficulties conceiving a baby. I support women in their fertility journey, offering a listening service, massage and reflexology therapies and lifestyle guidance.

I am a Mummy MOT® practitioner and a coach for Holistic Core Restore®. I chose to represent HCR® because above all else, unlike any other method I have come across, it has a whole-body approach using a combination of mindfulness, fitness, fat loss and restorative, soft tissue health approaches that provide a foundation for deep transformation and empowerment.

It’s not just about fixing a leaky pelvic floor or a wobbly tummy but improving woman’s whole lifestyle. The positive effects the service has on women and their families are what inspires me. I enjoy helping women through their journey to motherhood, it gives me satisfaction to know that women are prioritising their needs, and ensuring they are healthy and not only to be able to look after their family with more ease, but also to give them the understanding and independence to look after their bodies well into their ‘golden’ years.

I want to transform the way women feel about themselves, so they know and appreciate the worth of self-care. The information they gain about themselves, will be knowledge that lasts women for their lifetime, and this is certainly priceless.

Services are currently based at the Mama Wellness Studio in Ransomes Europark IP3 9FJ, Holiday Inn, London Road IP2 0UA and Washbrook IP8.

Meet the Team

Kerry Westcott

Woman's Fitness and Movement Coach

Meet Kerry. Kerry is a Registered Nurse and is also a rather wonderful fitness coach! Kerry joins the team in January offering some fabulous classes designed to help improve confidence in your body's abilities, helping you to become stronger, leaner and rebuild core and pelvic floor health.
We are excited and honoured that Kerry is bringing all her professional knowledge and experience of the anatomy and physiology of the body to our new PREGNANCY YOGA classes starting March 2019.
Kerry Says: "I am a nurse and mum with a passion for health and wellness. I have been blessed with two children who are my world, and my life is very orientated around family and home. We have an allotment behind our house with chickens which keeps us busy, fit and outdoors. I also enjoy walking, cooking and taking care of myself, my family and others.
I work in the operating theatres as a surgical scrub and anaesthetic nurse practitioner, and have managed teams and lead departments throughout my career, but my heart is with the patients and making a difference to their journey and experiences at what is often a vulnerable and difficult time.
My maternity leave with my daughter has allowed me to evaluate what is important to me and my quality of life. I have experienced many of the wellness services Nina provides, and this has given me the drive and motivation to be a better version of myself. I don't want to just get through the day, I want to live it, feeling energised, nourished and strong both physically and mentally, I am excited to be giving some of that back to others!"

Frankie Baisden

Woman's Fitness and Movement Coach

Meet Frankie. She is an experienced fitness and wellness coach and a mum of baby Bluebell who is 6 months.
Frankie has always had a passion for fitness and kept herself healthy during her pregnancy by attending Aqua Bump sessions. She then undertook the 12 week Get My Bodacious Back after Baby course with Mama Wellness and our advanced fitness classes.
Frankie joins the fitness team in January and will be providing fitness coaching for some of our timetabled classes.
All coaches are trained by Nina Parnham and have a sound understanding of pregnancy and postnatal fitness, what good core connection is and how to correct posture and alignment. All classes are designed to fit well with the philosophies of our service.
Frankie says "Women experience a lot of physical and emotional stress throughout their lives and too many of us don't give ourselves enough credit or celebrate what makes us special. If we support each other and share our experiences, together we can be the best versions of ourselves".
