Orange and Pomegranate Wheel

These pomegranate and orange wheels are not only a pretty looking piece for a buffet style lunch, it also contains an abundance of nutrients.

Pomegranates are not eaten as regularly as other fruits, but they contain so much goodness, it would be a crime not to include this fruit in your weekly shopping list! They are incredibly helpful for digestive complaint, such as upset stomachs. These little juicy seeds are packed full of antioxidants that helps to regulate cholesterol levels and also help to thin the blood and counteract the free radicals that are linked to cancer.

Oranges are well known for their high levels of vitamin C but they are also a great source of dietary fibre, helping to keep the colon healthy. Vitamin C is essential for collagen formation in the body, as this in why vitamin C is linked to improved skin health.

Give yourself about 15 minutes to prepare this little centre piece. It can be made a few hours in advance and covered, so the segments do not dry out.

To make the Orange and Pomegranate Wheel you will need;

  • 4 clementines or satsuma
  • Seeds of 1 pomegranate
  1. Peel the clementines or satsumas and remove all the pith
  2. Arrange on the plate in a circle starting from the middle of the plate and working your way round and out to the edge of the plate
  3. Sprinkle over the seeds of a whole pomegranate
  4. Serve
